Erica Banks “Buss It” Continues To Gain Popularity With New TikTok Dance Challenge

Erica Banks is off to a great start for 2021, after signing with Warner Records the rapper’s underrated song “Buss It” has birthed a viral dance challenge on TikTok.

For the challenge, an individual begins their video in casual clothing, messy hair, and no makeup applied. When the beat drops, you drop to the floor into the Buss It pose with a transition into a mesmerizing outfit with hair and makeup on ten! The dance challenge has taken over TikTok, reaching almost half a billion views on the platform. 

The trend was originated from TikTok but later spread to social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram, where users have been sharing their absolute favorite videos to the challenge. Popularity for the song has been steady since her announcement with Warner Records, looks like the rapper needed the label change to reach her highest potential. 

Last Friday, Erica Bank’s “Buss It” continued to soar on Twitter, garnering over 130k tweets with fans sharing and creating their own twist to the #BussItChallenge. Banks shared her gratitude for the song’s success on Instagram, “Everyday I’m progressing!” 

On the charts, Banks is reaching new heights with her 7-month-old banger “Buss It”. Across Apple Music and iTunes in the United States, the song continues to climb its way to the top.

The overall chart for Apple Music, “Buss It” remains stable at #122 as of right now. For iTunes, Banks song is inching its way to the Top 50 of the chart at #54 currently. That’s not all, “Buss It” has also managed to enter Spotify’s Viral chart at #38 for the first time since its release! This is huge, Erica holds the third highest-charting female rap song currently on the platform. Every milestone counts!
